Water outage in 5 districts of Istanbul

Water outages will occur in some parts of Istanbul starting this evening. In an announcement, the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ) stated that, as part of connection works to be carried out on the Kağıthane–Münzevi Tunnel Line, a planned water outage will be implemented in many neighborhoods across five districts, starting at 9:00 PM today and lasting until 7:00 AM tomorrow morning.

The districts to be affected by the water outage include Fatih, Eyüpsultan, Bayrampaşa, Esenler, and Zeytinburnu. İSKİ stated that water will be restored in a controlled manner once the work is completed.

WHICH NEIGHBORHOODS WILL BE AFFECTED?

In the Fatih district, the neighborhoods of Ayvansaray, Derviş Ali, Balat, Atik Ali, Karagümrük, Hırka-i Şerif, Ali Kuşçu, Akşemsettin, Topkapı, Molla Gürani, İskenderpaşa, Zeyrek, Cibali, Yavuz Sultan Selim, Hacı Kadın, Hoca Gıyaseddin, Molla Hüsrev, Kalenderhane, Süleymaniye, Kemalpaşa, Balabanağa, Beyazıt, Haseki Sultan, Seyyid Ömer, Şehremini, and Mevlanakapı will be directly affected by the water outage.

In Eyüpsultan, in addition to the Defterdar and Nişancı neighborhoods, a 10-hour water outage will also be implemented at the İETT Edirnekapı bus garage and its surrounding area. The outage in Bayrampaşa will affect the Merkez, Orta, Yenidoğan, Vatan, and Terazidere neighborhoods. The Esenler neighborhoods of Namık Kemal, Davutpaşa, Yavuz Selim, Çiftehavuzlar, Mimar Sinan, Nene Hatun, Fevzi Çakmak, and Menderes will also face the outage. In Zeytinburnu, a section of the Maltepe neighborhood will temporarily lose water service.

Officials emphasized that citizens should take necessary precautions in advance to avoid inconvenience during the outage. It was stated that water will be restored to the neighborhoods once network checks are completed following the end of the outage.

It was noted that the work is being carried out as part of infrastructure improvement and modernization efforts across the city.
