Worker loses life in accident at unlicensed mine
A worker who became trapped between a wagon and a crane at an unlicensed mine in the Kilimli district of Zonguldak has died.
49-year-old Muhammed Korkut, who was working at an unlicensed mine in the Gelik town of the district, became trapped between a wagon and a crane.
Following the report of the incident, Korkut was extracted from the mine and, after initial intervention by medical teams, was transported to Zonguldak Atatürk State Hospital.
Despite the interventions performed there, Korkut could not be saved.
An investigation into the incident has been launched.
