Workplace accident at marble factory: 5 workers injured
Five workers were injured in various ways during a workplace accident that occurred while cutting marble; two were taken to the hospital, while the others sought treatment on their own.
A workplace accident occurred around 10:30 AM at a marble factory operating in the Burdur 2nd Organized Industrial Zone. During the incident at the factory, a marble block fell from a machine during the cutting phase and toppled onto the workers. Workers identified as İdris Y., Salih S., Süleyman A., Süleyman Ö., and Kürşat G. were injured in various parts of their bodies after being trapped under the falling block or struck by scattered debris.
While some of the workers sought medical attention at the nearest hospital on their own following the incident, two employees were transported to Burdur State Hospital by ambulance after emergency medical teams arrived at the scene upon notification. According to information received from health officials, the injured workers are in good condition. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
