NEW APPROACHES IN MEDIA AND TELEVISION SERIES

The report stated that digital media content creators should be encouraged to adopt a "woman-friendly perspective." It was noted that news bulletins should avoid headlines that promote or normalize violence, and that events should be presented in an informative and solution-oriented manner rather than a sensationalist one. The importance of RTÜK updating its principles regarding broadcasts during terrorism and extraordinary situations, and ensuring these broadcasts are conducted with the best interests of women in mind, was emphasized.

The report also included a recommendation that television series should feature more scenes showing which mechanisms victims of violence against women should turn to after experiencing violence. These types of scenes are intended to serve as a guide for viewers.

Finally, it was stated that daytime programs should include more content featuring good practice examples aimed at empowering women and include more expert guests. This approach aims to convey more positive and constructive messages to the audience.
