BİK announces: Insurance discount for media workers

Under a cooperation agreement signed between the Press Advertising Agency (BİK) and Türkiye Sigorta AŞ, media workers employed at BİK-accredited media organizations and their immediate family members will be able to benefit from special discounts on many insurance products, primarily motor, home, health, and travel insurance.

BİK announces: Insurance discount for media workers

The Press Advertising Agency (BİK) has signed an important cooperation agreement with Türkiye Sigorta AŞ on the occasion of January 10, Working Journalists Day. With this agreement, media personnel working at BİK-accredited newspapers, magazines, and internet news sites, as well as their immediate family members, will be able to purchase various insurance products at discounted prices.

The cooperation was implemented following negotiations between BİK General Manager Abdulkadir Çay and Türkiye Sigorta AŞ Vice Chairman of the Board and General Manager Taha Çakmak. The scope of the application includes motor, home, personal accident, health, and travel insurance.

WHAT ARE THE DISCOUNT RATES?

In line with the campaign, discounts of 60 percent on home insurance, 40 percent on personal accident insurance, 25 percent on motor insurance, and between 20 and 25 percent on health and travel insurance will be applied. Insurance premiums can be paid in up to 12 installments.

Additionally, premiums paid for health, personal accident, and life insurance can be deducted from the tax base, provided they do not exceed 15 percent of the gross wage and the annual minimum wage amount.
