INVESTIGATION CONDUCTED BY THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that Mehmet Akif Ersoy was detained by the gendarmerie on suspicion of "purchasing, accepting, or possessing narcotics for personal use." Following Ersoy's detention, the proceedings are being carried out by the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command.

Within the scope of the investigation, detention orders were issued for 8 suspects yesterday evening. Following this, teams from the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command conducted operations at the identified addresses and detained Ersoy along with the other suspects.
