Ruşen Gültekin reacts sharply to Erdoğan's 'hijrah' statement! 'By God, we are doomed'

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's statements made within the scope of the "Turkey's Migration Management Program in the Century of Turkey" have drawn public reaction.

In his speech, Erdoğan stated that the number of immigrants in Turkey is 4 million 33 thousand, and used the phrase "We will not send them back" regarding Syrian refugees.

Describing migration as a "hijrah from Mecca to Medina," Erdoğan emphasized that Turkey has adopted an 'ansar' (helper) approach. A sharp reaction to these statements by President Erdoğan came from legal expert Ruşen Gültekin.

In his social media post, Gültekin expressed his concerns regarding the migration policy, stating, "If this is how it is perceived at the State level, we are doomed. The whole world can migrate to Turkey. BY GOD, WE ARE DOOMED."

In his speech, President Erdoğan also emphasized that migration has become a global crisis, reminding that there are more than 281 million immigrants and nearly 120 million refugees worldwide, and that 20 people are displaced every minute due to conflicts.

The issue of migration is expected to remain an important agenda item in Turkey's domestic and foreign policy in the coming period.
