University students provide documented response to the 'Armenian Question'

Marmara University, ledby variousother universities, thestudents from the Alaca Magazine team have prepared a report addressing the "Armenian Question." The study, titled the "Alaca Report," worIn the study, international narrativesregarding the subject were addressed with historical documents and academicresearch.

The study, which takes its name from the "Alaca Köy Report" presented by General Kazım Karabekir to the American General Harbord to document events in Eastern Anatolia,examines the demographic structure of Anatolia from the Ottomanperiod to the present day,the deportation prothe influence of Westernstates and missionary organizations, as well as information on topics such as the KhojalyMassacre and the Malta Trials.

The report was prepared with the contributions of Prof. Dr. Yusuf Halaçoğlu,Prof. Dr. Barış Doster, Prof. Dr. Gülbadi Alan, Prof. Dr. Kemal Çiçek, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökmen Kliçoglu and former Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Uluç Gürkan’s contributions. Gürkan, referring to the Malta Trials,stated that there is no national or international court ruling defining the events of 1915 as 'genocide.' Prof. Dr. Barış Doster drew attention to the role of the issue in international politics.

The Alaca Magazine team stated that everyyear on April 24, instead of waiting for statements from foreigncountries, they aimed to "respond to historicalclaims with documents."The report

includes theStudents werecalled upon to“confront withdocuments,not lies.” Thecall was made.
