'What happened to the unionists who shouted 'Our love is Turkey, our struggle is for bread'?

Levent Kuruoğlu, Chairman of the Confederation of Libertarian Unions, harshly criticized unions that have remained silent regarding the so-called resolution process and the legitimization of separatism.

In his statement, Kuruoğlu expressed that organizations that once stood out for their nationalist stance have now come to walk the same line as the political extensions of terrorism, stating the following;

What has changed? Have you abandoned Atatürk's principles, the unitary state, and Turkish nationalism, or have you just clung to your seats?

Where is that sacred cause now?

Where are those anthems you used to shout at the top of your lungs:

"I would die for the flow of your river, my Turkey"...

Where are the tears you shed with the lines, "The Black Sea would flutter, looking at the Turk's flag"?

Today, you have come to walk the same line as DEM.

You have become silent toward the political extensions of terrorism,

And deaf to the glorification of Apo.

You might as well add "education in the mother tongue" and the "autonomy" clause to your bylaws so that your partners don't find you strange!

Those who once stood tall against betrayal,

how did you mutate to become the locomotive of that very betrayal today?

Everyone can now see for how many salaries, how many positions, and how many ranks the thing you called a cause was sold at the bargaining table!

And what about the members? Have you also submitted?

Why are those who stood tall during the resolution process now silent? When did you forget those cries that rose at the funerals of martyrs?

Where are the oaths you took upon your sacred values?

Wasn't your struggle for a "Nationalist Turkey," reaching as far as Turan?

Or did you drown in Qandil? Were you silenced in Sulaymaniyah?

Did you drift from the dream of the Mountains of God to the surrender of "there is nothing to be done"?

Tell me:

Were you afraid? Did you go silent?

Or were you also deceived by a seat at the bargaining table?

What a pity...

Your slogans remain, but your soul is lost.

Those who think the nation will forget will pay the heaviest price when the day comes!

Akif did not say it in vain;

"To abandon resolve by seeing the future as dark...

If there is a base death, I am sure, this is it.

No feeling, no movement, no pain... Have you become a corpse?

You surprise me... You were not like this."
