Civilian casualties are rising in the war triggered by the attacks launched by Hamas against Israel on the morning of October 7 and Israel's subsequent response.

Evaluating the Israel-Hamas war, Yeniçağ columnist Arslan Tekin stated, "The massacre taking place is being unconditionally supported by the US, an Israeli satellite, and its extensions, the European states," and explained the implicit message the US is sending to Turkey:

"Today we downed your UAV, tomorrow we will down your plane. Watch your step. Your heart is with Palestine anyway. Anyone whose heart is with Palestine is our enemy."

"When I say the US, know that I am talking about a state that is a satellite of Israel. Let no one deny it, twist it in another direction, or accuse me of 'anti-Semitism.' A 'human being' is precious to us. We do not distinguish between Jews, Arabs, Muslims, or Christians. Even if our hearts lean toward one side, we stand with whoever is in the right.

Unfortunately, lives are being lost in the Middle East. It is the same for Palestinians, and it is the same for Jews. But if a state commits a massacre, that has a different name. Israel is a state, and as a state, it is committing a massacre. This massacre is being unconditionally supported by the US, an Israeli satellite, and its extensions, the European states.

The US has long harbored hostility toward Turkey. In Northern Iraq, the Barzanis, the Talabanis, the PKK, and their extensions are held in high regard. The Talabanis and Barzanis are a balance against the Arabs for the US (and naturally for Israel). Whenever the Arabs grumble at Israel, they immediately stir up trouble for them.

Why was war waged on Iraq? And twice at that. Yet, in the 1980s, they had provided all kinds of support to Iraq, which was fighting against Iran. In 1988, the eight-year Iran-Iraq war ended. The attitude changed. When Saddam attempted to occupy Kuwait, which was within the Basra Vilayet during the Ottoman era, claiming that if Basra is ours, Kuwait should also be ours, the US launched the First Gulf War (January 17, 1991 – February 28, 1991) with the support of other Arab countries neighboring Iraq.

'IF IT HAD JOINED THE WAR...'

A point that should be emphasized in this operation is Saddam's desire to draw Israel into the war. He sent missiles from Iraq. He expected a response, but Israel did not respond due to US advice. If it had responded, if it had joined the war, the leaders of Syria, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia, who were marching against Saddam alongside the US, would have been forced to withdraw out of fear of their own people.

Leaving the leaders of Arab countries aside; in the eyes of the public, the word 'Jew' brings 'enemy' to mind. In almost all Arab countries, there are many refugees driven out of Palestine by Jews. In these refugees, the love for their homeland burns like an ember, and this fire ignites its surroundings.

Let us not get into the issue of the 'Provide Comfort' force that emerged after the Second Gulf War. It is disheartening.

Iraq was invaded for the second time on March 20, 2003, under the pretext that it was producing 'weapons of mass destruction.' This entry was officially ended on December 15, 2011, but US troops did not completely withdraw from Iraq.

If Iraq is a state, it cannot allow armed groups or foreign soldiers supporting these groups within its country.

After Saddam, the US established a government system in Iraq that is on the verge of collapse at any moment, in a way that also serves the interests of PKK extensions. It has placed itself in Iraq and is watching what is happening.

'WHICH COUNTRY WOULD ALLOW THIS?'

We keep entering Iraq, raining bombs on terrorist nests. Let's say that organizations targeting Iraq were nested in Turkey and were crossing the border to attack Iraqi forces. Is that possible?! Leaving us aside, which country that has power and has ensured its national unity would allow this?

The US has established such a system in Iraq that it is impossible for this country to recover or develop. Groups are constantly hostile toward one another. The Shiites and the ethnic factions even have their own separate armies.

Syria is in shambles. Certain regions are in our hands, and again, the US has taken the PKK into its arms and is moving it from place to place. The downing of our UAV is a warning from the US to us: 'You have gone too far. The PKK is an extension of our army... Stop here!'

The US exists in the Middle East only and solely for Israel. Sending aircraft carriers is a show of force against other Arab countries and Iran to prevent them from taking action against Israel.

It is also a show of force against us... It is implying, 'Today we downed your UAV, tomorrow we will down your plane. Watch your step. Your heart is with Palestine anyway. Anyone whose heart is with Palestine is our enemy.'"

WHAT HAPPENED?

The US announced that it had downed a Turkish UAV in northern Syria on October 6, 2023; the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that a UAV had been 'lost'.
