1st and 2nd deputy speakers determined at IMM Assembly
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Assembly held its first meeting following the local elections. In the meeting where the election for the 1st deputy speaker was held, CHP candidate Nuri Aslan, who received 184 votes, was elected as the 1st deputy speaker.
Following the March 31 Local Elections, the first assembly meeting of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) was held today.
The election for the 1st deputy speaker was held during the municipal assembly meeting, which was chaired by IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.
İmamoğlu announced that CHP candidate Nuri Aslan won the 1st deputy speaker election with 184 votes. AKP candidate Ahmet Bilal Kıymaz came in second with 129 votes.
The election for the 2nd deputy speaker was also won by CHP candidate Gökhan Gümüşdağ with 182 votes. AKP candidate Faruk Gökkuş came in second with 117 votes.
