2025 anxiety in the AKP: 'Party strategists think it will be harder than 2024'
As the economic crisis deepens, it has been reported that AKP strategists believe "2025 will be even more difficult than 2024."
While citizens feel the economic crisis deepening with each passing day, Gazete Pencere columnist Nuray Babacan shared details from behind the scenes of the AKP.
'2025 WILL BE HARDER THAN 2024'
Babacan wrote, "According to AKP strategists, establishing a reconciliation commission on the law means dragging the matter out. Therefore, they are brainstorming a different mechanism. They are focusing on the proposal: 'Prepare and bring your own constitutional amendment proposal. Then, let's work together to merge these proposals.'"
Babacan also noted the following:
"The main issue that members of the ruling party are preoccupied with and monitoring closely is the economy. That is why the 2025 budget is of critical importance. While there is a problem in achieving balance in this budget, the effects of the next two critical years on the citizens are being wondered about even more. AKP members claim that 2025 will be more difficult than 2024, that relief will begin to be seen in 2026, and that the results will be visible in 2027. This equation will also determine the fate and date of an early election!"
