US President Donald Trump received numerous congratulatory messages from world leaders for the July 4th US Independence Day. In this context, Russian President Vladimir Putin also held a phone call with Trump. A statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that the 90-minute conversation was the fourth contact made this year and was "business-oriented and extremely constructive." It was reported that Putin congratulated Trump and the entire American people on the 250th anniversary of Independence Day.

According to the statement, Trump reaffirmed his readiness to help bring the conflict in Ukraine to an end as soon as possible. The Russian side, for its part, once again emphasized its preference for resolving the conflict through political and diplomatic means, arguing that Kyiv and its European supporters are attempting to prolong and even escalate the conflict.

The Ministry stated, "Our head of state presented the reality regarding the situation on the ground; the Russian Armed Forces are advancing decisively."

ZELENSKYY ALSO SPOKE WITH TRUMP

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he had a "very good phone call" with Donald Trump. Zelenskyy stated, "I congratulated Donald Trump and all Americans on Independence Day. We are grateful to the US for all the aid we have received, from Javelins to Patriots and political support, and we appreciate the US standing with us in defending our independence. I am grateful to every American who cares about the future of Ukraine, Europe, and everyone around the world where freedom matters."

Stating that he discussed the current situation on the front lines and diplomatic efforts with Trump, Zelenskyy said, "There is a real opportunity to end this war, and the determination of the US is decisive. We agreed to continue these discussions in Ankara during the NATO Summit. Thank you, United States of America! Thank you, Mr. President! I wish prosperity and success to the American people."
