A new era in the Adalar: Congratulatory message from Müslim Sarı

The election for acting mayor at the Adalar Municipality has been concluded. In the vote held following the arrest of Mayor Ali Ercan Akpolat and his subsequent suspension from duty by the Ministry of Interior, CHP candidate Medine Pamuk was selected as the acting mayor.

ELECTED TO OFFICE WITH 5 VOTES

In the election held at the Municipal Council, Medine Pamuk was elected as the Acting Mayor of the Adalar by receiving 5 out of the 7 votes cast.

The election was held after Ali Ercan Akpolat was suspended from duty by the Ministry of Interior following his arrest.

CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE FROM MÜSLİM SARI

Müslim Sarı, Spokesperson for the CHP under the leadership of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu—who was appointed as Chairman by court order—made a statement on his social media account following the election results.

In his post, Sarı included the following remarks:

"I congratulate Ms. Medine Pamuk, who has been elected as the Acting Mayor of the Adalar, and wish her success in her new role. I believe that Ms. Pamuk will make significant contributions to the Adalar with a populist, transparent, and participatory approach to municipal governance, and that she will achieve successful work for the development of our district and the welfare of our citizens."
