Abdülkadir Selvi's response to Hatimoğulları's 'Turkey will become Gaza' claim: 'Go ahead and try'

Hürriyet columnist Abdulkadir Selvi responded in his column to the notable statements made by DEM Party Co-Chair Tülay Hatimoğulları. 

SHE HAD SAID TURKEY WOULD BECOME GAZA  

Hatimoğulları had stated, "The doors of İmralı have been opened for now. We are going through a historical breaking point. At this historical breaking point, either a positive break will occur and we will build peace, or negative breaks will occur, and everywhere will become Gaza."

'GO AHEAD AND TRY'

Selvi reacted sharply to these words from Hatimoğulları, saying, "Go ahead and try it, let's see. They say they will turn Turkey into Gaza. If Aleppo is there, the yardstick is here. You tried to do this during the trench wars; what happened? You were filled into those trenches," he said.

Referring to Hatimoğulları's remarks, Abdülkadir Selvi said, "Is this speech meant to contribute to the process at a time when Öcalan says he is ready to take positive steps and make calls, or is it meant to sabotage Öcalan? Didn't you say the will of İmralı was your will?"
