Future Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu made a post on his X account regarding the decision to set the maximum price for 200 grams of bread at 10 TL in Istanbul. In his post, Davutoğlu stated the following:
“Producers are deciding to raise prices on their products in the face of rising costs. So, what will those working for minimum wage, retirees, and our citizens living on old-age pensions do in the face of this hike? We are facing a government that has made its citizens unable to even afford dry bread through wrong economic policies!”
