AKP deputy's 'window dressing' outburst: 'Those who use the President as a tool...'

AKP Secretary General and İzmir Deputy Eyyüp Kadir İnan stated that some members of his party are using the photograph of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as "window dressing" among ostentatious decorations in their offices. Expressing his reaction through a statement on social media, İnan emphasized that using Erdoğan's photograph for such a purpose is absolutely wrong.

'THE PHOTOGRAPH IS NOT AN OFFICE DECORATION'

In his post, İnan used the following expressions:

"Recently, it has been observed that some individuals are trying to impress the public by decorating their offices with ostentatious decor, using gold-leaf tables and red throne-like chairs, while using the photograph of our Chairman and President as a piece of window dressing. This photograph is not an office decoration. It is certainly not a tool for exploitation! That photograph is a symbol of a cause, a struggle, and the great prices paid on the path of serving the nation."

THE PRESIDENT'S MEMORY CANNOT BE EXPLOITED

İnan stated that those who try to use President Erdoğan's memory for their own interests will never find support in the eyes of the public.

"Those who use the memory of our President as a tool for their own personal advertising will never find support in the eyes of the public," said İnan, noting that they will fight against such individuals both individually and at the party level.

'IN THIS CAUSE, THERE ARE NOT OFFICE ORNAMENTS, BUT THOSE WHO SHARE THE NATION'S TROUBLES'

İnan concluded his statement as follows:

“We will not only fight these exploiters at an individual level, but we will also enter into a separate struggle as a party. Because for us, this cause is not one of office ornaments, but the cause of those who share the nation's troubles and work day and night.”
