AKP member Şamil Tayyar commented "Thank goodness" regarding the increase of the Special Consumption Tax (SCT) rate on yachts, ships, and boats from 0 percent to 8 percent.
According to the Presidential Decree published in the Official Gazette, an SCT has been introduced for yachts, ships, and boats. The tax rates for certain goods included in the Special Consumption Tax (SCT) list have been redetermined. Accordingly, the SCT, which was 0 percent for some sea vessels including yachts, has been increased to 8 percent.
In a statement regarding the matter on his social media account, Tayyar said, "Yachts, cutters, boats, and pleasure craft have also met the SCT. The SCT rate for these vehicles, which had been '0' until now, has been set at 8 percent. The economic management finally saw it, thank goodness." said.
