Sharp criticism of tax hikes from AKP's Tayyar: 'A ladle when collecting, a spoon when distributing'

Former AKP deputy Şamil Tayyar criticized the setting of the revaluation rate for all taxes, fees, and fines at 43.93% for the new year, stating, "I would like to point out a calculation error overlooked by the economic management, which thinks that using a ladle when collecting and a spoon when distributing will curb inflation."

TAXES INCREASED ABOVE THE MINIMUM WAGE RATE!

Following the announcement of the 43.93% revaluation rate in the Official Gazette, many taxes were increased by the same rate. Criticizing the fact that tax hikes reached 44% while the minimum wage was increased by 30%, AKP member Şamil Tayyar emphasized inflation.

Tayyar's social media post is as follows:

"As with other taxes, fees, and fines, the Motor Vehicle Tax has been increased by 43.93%. Everyone is rightfully comparing this to the 30% raise given to the minimum wage. My thoughts on this are clear; there is no need to repeat them.

I would like to point out a calculation error that the economic management, which thinks that using a ladle when collecting and a spoon when distributing will curb inflation, has not dwelt upon. The reality that the 43.93% revaluation rate applied to taxes, fees, and fines fuels inflation is being ignored.

Payments made to the state are among the inputs that increase operating costs, such as personnel, water, electricity, fuel, and materials. They are reflected in prices in one way or another. I wanted to remind those who are investigating the reasons for the deviations in inflation targets, for your information. I am not even entering into the justice dimension of the incident."
