AKP on alert in 4 Istanbul districts! Voters in that region have shifted toward CHP...
With only days left until the local elections, all eyes in Turkey are on Istanbul. While the AKP is calculating election outcomes based on the vote shares of the YRP and DEM Party, some districts are sounding the alarm.
With a short time remaining until the local elections, everyone's eyes have turned to Istanbul and its districts.
Gazete Pencere columnist Nuray Babacan addressed the AKP's election strategy regarding the YRP and DEM Party in her column today.
Babacan stated the following in the relevant section of her column:
YRP AND DEM PARTY PLAN
"The votes that the DEM Party and the New Welfare Party (YRP) receive in Istanbul will determine the outcome of the race. According to the detailed calculations made within the AKP, if the DEM Party receives over 4 percent and the YRP receives under 3 percent, Kurum will have a chance to win; if the opposite occurs, İmamoğlu will have the chance.
SANCAKTEPE, ÇEKMEKÖY, BEYOĞLU...
For this reason, district-by-district analyses are gaining importance. Sancaktepe, Çekmeköy, and Beyoğlu, which are currently held by the AKP in Istanbul, appear risky for them. It is claimed that the AKP could win Küçükçekmece, which is currently governed by the CHP, this time around; it is commented that they are luckier there due to their candidate.

WILL ÜSKÜDAR SWITCH TO CHP?
The situation for Üsküdar is different. It is assessed that Üsküdar is increasingly approaching a sociology similar to Kadıköy. In particular, analyses suggest that newly built housing complexes and changes in lifestyle have altered the voter structure, and that the number of voters close to the CHP in the region has increased.
THE GAP IN ANKARA IS AROUND 15 POINTS
There is not much change in the situation in the capital, Ankara. It is stated that the gap between the CHP's candidate Mansur Yavaş and the AKP's candidate Turgut Altınok has not changed and that it does not appear possible to close it. There are those who claim that Etimesgut and Polatlı could switch to the CHP. It is noted that there is trouble in Mamak, which is known as an AKP stronghold. In the polls commissioned by the AKP for Ankara, it is stated that the vote gap between Mansur Yavaş and Turgut Altınok is around 15 points.
CITIZENS IN ANKARA CHOSE 'SOCIAL MUNICIPALISM'
It is known that in the same poll, questions were asked regarding why Mansur Yavaş is preferred, and that Yavaş's most appreciated achievement turned out to be "social aid" at 28 percent. The second reason for preference is being "honest and reliable" at 8 percent. Municipal services are far behind these two. It is seen that the aid Yavaş has provided quietly has eliminated the AKP's dominance in this area. Of course, the fact that this item is seen as a "municipal achievement" is also the most important indicator of the state of affairs in recent years..."
