AKP parliamentary group leadership determined
The current AKP parliamentary group leadership has been re-elected. Group Chairman Abdullah Güler and Deputy Group Chairmen Abdulhamit Gül, Muhammet Emin Akbaşoğlu, Özlem Zengin, Leyla Şahin Usta, and Bahadır Yenişehirlioğlu were re-elected to their posts.
The AKP parliamentary group met behind closed doors, chaired by Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala, for the election of the parliamentary group leadership for the second term of the 28th Legislative Period.
Following an informative presentation on legislative processes by Group Chairman Abdullah Güler, the elections were held.
As a result of the elections, Sivas Deputy Güler was re-elected as Group Chairman. Deputy Group Chairmen Abdulhamit Gül (Gaziantep Deputy), Muhammet Emin Akbaşoğlu (Çankırı Deputy), Özlem Zengin (Istanbul Deputy), Leyla Şahin Usta (Ankara Deputy), and Bahadır Yenişehirlioğlu (Manisa Deputy) were also reappointed to their positions.
The AKP parliamentary group's disciplinary board and group auditors were also determined during the elections.
