AKP statement on early elections! 'They will taste the same defeat'

Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel continues to reiterate his call for early elections.

"WE WANT ELECTIONS IMMEDIATELY"

"The sooner, the better," said Özel, adding, "Whether the candidate is Erdoğan or someone else, let the election be now. We want elections immediately."

A response to Özel's election call has come from the ruling front.

AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik spoke at the 8th Ordinary District Congress of Seyhan, held at the Adana Archaeology Museum.

"THEY WILL TASTE THE SAME DEFEAT"

Responding to the opposition's call for early elections, Çelik said, "Undoubtedly, if an election were held today, they would taste the same defeat again. But as we have said before, an early election is not on Turkey's agenda."

'IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO SILENCE THE PEOPLE'S ALLIANCE'

Stating that there is no early election but that they work every day as if there were an election, Çelik said the following:

"Whenever there is confusion in the opposition, infighting among them, or unrest among them, they constantly carry out attacks on the AK Party. They carry out attacks on our President. They think they can silence us. You saw it the other day; there was an ugly act in parliament. They tried to block our Minister of Interior as he was entering the committee meeting. But they saw once again that it is in no way possible to silence the AK Party, and it is impossible to silence the People's Alliance. There is no early election ahead for Turkey. But we are an organization that works every day as if there were an election."
