All eyes on the 'absolute nullity' case... CHP figure responds to new party allegations!

In the Republican People's Party (CHP), preparations have been completed for the "absolute nullity" case to be heard on September 15th and the extraordinary congress to be held on September 21st. CHP Deputy Chair Gül Çiftçi made statements regarding developments within the party and the "new party" allegations voiced in the public sphere during a television program she attended.

"OUR STRUGGLE WILL CONTINUE UNDER THE ROOF OF THE CHP"

Stating that the idea of forming a new party is completely off the agenda, Çiftçi said, "The CHP is our ancestral party; leaving it is not even a subject of discussion." Çiftçi expressed that the will of the delegates is clear and that this will will be reflected in the ballot box at the congress on September 21st.

Taking a firm stance against the possibility of a trustee, Çiftçi said, "We will not let this party be managed by unelected individuals, especially those appointed by the AKP judiciary," and underscored the importance the CHP places on democracy and internal party operations.

Çiftçi stated that the democratic functioning of the extraordinary congress on September 21st is proceeding despite all kinds of obstacles, adding, "Anyone who trusts themselves can be a candidate." She also announced that the Istanbul Provincial Congress will convene in an extraordinary session on September 24th.
