Allegation that AKP deputy obtained poverty certificate for his wife

CHP Aksaray Provincial Chair Bilal Özdemir and CHP Party Assembly Member Ali Abbas Ertürk held a press conference at the CHP Aksaray Provincial Headquarters to make statements regarding current events.

Speaking at the meeting, Bilal Özdemir stated that AKP Deputy Hüseyin Altınsoy previously worked as a financial advisor and that his economic situation is good.

“POVERTY CERTIFICATE ISSUED BY THE MUKHTAR” 

Bilal Özdemir alleged that a poverty certificate was issued by the neighborhood mukhtar for the wife of Deputy Hüseyin Altınsoy.

Özdemir stated that the document in question was used in a lawsuit filed by the deputy's wife, claiming that the document was submitted to obtain an exemption from court fees and litigation costs.

ALLEGATION OF “LAWSUIT FILED WITHOUT FEES”

In his statement, Özdemir evaluated the legal aid processes in courts, saying that individuals with a certain income level are normally required to pay court fees and litigation expenses.

Özdemir claimed that the deputy's wife filed a lawsuit without paying fees using the document in question, and stated that the case is being heard at the Aksaray Courthouse.

ACCUSATION OF “FORGERY OF OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS”

CHP's Özdemir alleged that the incident involves “forgery of official documents.”

Stating that it should be investigated whether the document reflects the truth, Özdemir said, “If she is poor, we have nothing to say. If not, there is a forged document.”

Özdemir also argued that the public was harmed, claiming that the court fee was covered by the state.

“SOLIDARITY FUND” 

Another notable statement at the press conference came regarding a “solidarity fund.”

Bilal Özdemir, referring to the deputy's economic status, said they had prepared an aid fund. Özdemir stated that retired and minimum-wage party members could leave whatever support they wished in this fund.

CALL TO ERDOĞAN FROM ALİ ABBAS ERTÜRK

CHP Party Assembly Member Ali Abbas Ertürk also claimed in his statement at the meeting that the wife of the AKP Aksaray Deputy received a poverty certificate from the neighborhood mukhtar.

In his statement, Ertürk also addressed President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and made evaluations regarding the economic situation in the country.

Reiterating the call for a “deputy solidarity fund,” Ertürk said they expect support from retirees and minimum-wage earners.
