Alleged to be joining the AKP: He broke his silence with these words

In recent days, it was suggested that İYİ Party Gaziantep MP Mehmet Mustafa Gürban might resign from his party and join the AK Party. It was noted that Gürban had removed references to the İYİ Party from his social media accounts and deleted his posts related to the party. These developments strengthened the transfer rumors in political circles.

The first official comment regarding the allegations came from İYİ Party Spokesperson Buğra Kavuncu. Speaking on Onlar Tv, Kavuncu said, "I mean, we cannot vouch for anyone's honor. I called him once or twice to speak with him, but his phone is off. I cannot say that we are very closely connected in that sense because I cannot reach him. You need to establish communication to be able to come together."

CHALLENGE TO THE PARTY SPOKESPERSON FROM GÜRBAN

Responding to Kavuncu's remarks on social media, Gürban found the statements unacceptable. In his statement, Gürban used the following expressions:

"The response given by İYİ Party Istanbul MP and İYİ Party Spokesperson Buğra Kavuncu to the question 'Are there any MPs in the İYİ Party who will join the AK Party?' during a social media program he attended, saying 'We cannot vouch for anyone's honor,' is unacceptable to me. If you cannot vouch for the honor, integrity, and dignity of the MPs in the İYİ Party, then what kind of spokesperson are you? Of dishonor?

How did you serve as Group Deputy Chairman that you take the honor of myself, three female MPs, and my other MP colleagues into your mouth?

Did we find our honor on the street? Or did we allow you to use this as political material?

I ask all İYİ Party MPs here: Do you accept this person, who says he cannot vouch for your honor, as the party spokesperson?

This approach is unacceptable.

Moving from this understanding, I would like to ask another question. Our party, which set out with the principle of the center-right, proudly introduces members who have joined us by resigning from the MHP or the AK Party today through our organizations, and pins badges on them.

In that case, according to Mr. Buğra Kavuncu's 'definition of honor' logic, are these people also dishonorable? Because he calls those who leave the İYİ Party and join the AK Party 'dishonorable.' If so, why do we accept people who join our party with the same understanding?

According to you, then, were those who left the MHP when the İYİ Party was founded also dishonorable, Kavuncu? There can be no forgiveness for this shameful video.

I do not accept this contradiction and this mentality that opens the honor of our MPs to debate.

This friend who says he cannot vouch for our honor, let alone being a party spokesperson, has no place in the party. He must be expelled immediately.

Otherwise, I will take care of my own honor myself. I have lived with my dignity for 46 years; I have not chased after tenders or sucked up to mayors like some people.

It is impossible for me to be in the same party with a person who says he cannot vouch for our honor; if he has any dignity or honor, he would not be the spokesperson for people he cannot vouch for, does not trust, and does not believe in; he would resign.
