Another figure in CHP challenges Kılıçdaroğlu: 'Accepting this illegality is out of the question'
Yaşar Seyman, one of the Party Assembly members reinstated following the "absolute nullity" ruling in the CHP convention lawsuit, has announced that she will not accept the reappointment. Responding to allegations that she "remained neutral," Seyman condemned the process as "illegal" and emphasized that she would continue her struggle for democracy within the CHP.
The "absolute nullity" ruling issued by the court in the convention lawsuit, which closely concerns the Republican People's Party (CHP), has caused widespread repercussions in the political sphere. With the decision, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, as well as members of the Central Executive Board, the Party Assembly, and the High Disciplinary Board, were removed from their posts by a preliminary injunction. Meanwhile, members of the Party Assembly and the High Disciplinary Board from the previous term, along with Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, were reinstated.
Following these unexpected developments in the CHP, Party Assembly member Yaşar Seyman, who was among those reinstated, announced clearly that she would not accept the position. Seyman also firmly rejected reports appearing in some media outlets alleging that she had remained neutral following the decision.

In her statement, Seyman included the following remarks:
"Some newspapers are trying to create a perception by reporting, without asking me, that I 'remained neutral' among the Republican People's Party Assembly members.
I do not accept this, and I openly condemn this approach.
It is out of the question for me to accept the illegality occurring today! Because democracy is not just the ballot box; democracy is also conscience, a sense of justice, and the ethics of struggle!
For this reason, I will continue my struggle for democracy within my party and will strive to work to bring the Republican People's Party to power.
Greetings to those who struggle for democracy…
Greetings to those who do not remain silent! Greetings to those who do not forget their debt to the Republic."
