Appeal against Ümit Özdağ's detention rejected
The appeal against the detention of Victory Party (Zafer Partisi) Chairman Ümit Özdağ has been rejected by the Istanbul 2nd Criminal Court of Peace. In a statement on his social media account, Özdağ said, "I continue to be held hostage through the application of enemy criminal law for Öcalan."

In a post made from Özdağ's social media account, it was reported that the 'objection to detention' application filed with the Istanbul 2nd Criminal Court of Peace was rejected.
The following statements were included in the post made via Özdağ's X account:
"Regarding our objection to detention filed with the Istanbul 2nd Criminal Court of Peace on Thursday, January 30, the higher court reviewing the objection has decided to 'reject the objection and continue my detention.' I continue to be held hostage through the application of enemy criminal law for Öcalan. Long live the national, unitary, secular Republic of Turkey!"
