Backlash against scandalous post continues: Another party files a criminal complaint against Mustafa Destici!

Following the martyrdom of 9 soldiers in clashes with PKK terrorists in the Claw-Lock Operation region in northern Iraq, Great Unity Party (BBP) Chairman Mustafa Destici made a scandalous post on his social media account.

In his post, Destici targeted 25 different political parties, claiming that the opposition supports terrorism.

A TOTAL STRUGGLE MUST BE WAGED AGAINST ALL ELEMENTS OF TERRORISM.

Fighting the terrorist organization only in the mountains is not enough to root it out and end it.

While Turkey mourns its martyrs, reactions from the opposition front to Destici's scandalous post were not long in coming.

CRIMINAL COMPLAINT AGAINST DESTICI FROM THE DEMOCRAT PARTY

Following the criminal complaint filed against Destici by the Justice Party, another complaint has come from the Democrat Party (DP).

DP Ankara Provincial Chair Erkin Delikanlı, in the criminal complaint he filed with the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, requested that Destici be punished within the framework of relevant laws due to his statements inciting the public to hatred and hostility, and that access to the relevant post be blocked and the post be removed from the sites where it was shared.

“THEY ARE IN ELBOW-RUBBING CONTACT WITH POLITICAL EXTENSIONS”

Delikanlı summarized his statements in the criminal complaint as follows:

“When it comes to an attack on the state, the country, and the nation, everyone and every institution is a party and is obliged to take a side. This situation also applies to our political parties. Those who are in elbow-rubbing contact with the political extensions of the terrorist organization, those who welcome them with red carpets and cooperate with them, and those who send greetings to their ringleaders at every opportunity, cause their sincerity to be questioned when they condemn terrorism and commemorate our martyrs today. If the immunity files of more than 500 so-called deputies who defend terrorism and terrorist organizations are not voted on in Parliament; if terror advocates are allowed to sit in the Parliamentary Bureau, the administrative board, and the rows of Parliament; if they even drink coffee and tea and chat with them in the lobby, and if these traitors roam freely in the corridors of Parliament and shake their fingers at the state and our heroic army from the parliamentary podium; it means that the other political parties in Parliament are not doing their duty in the fight against terrorism.

“FAKE CONDEMNATIONS HAVE NO VALUE”

If you cooperate with the political branch of the terrorist organization in elections; if you partner with those they cooperate with; if you sign consensus texts for certain interests and have asked for votes for the same candidate as the parties of the PKK, TİKKO, and DHKPC for a few ministries or seats; the fake condemnations you make today have no value in the eyes of our nation. Let no one forget: Those who try to take over the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish nation with terrorist acts will be frustrated. By portraying the Democrat Party as affiliated with terrorist organizations and characterizing us members as if we were terrorists, he has thrown us, who are ready to give our lives for our homeland, in front of our precious people. The suspect, Mustafa Destici, without showing any respect for the difference of opinion which is the cornerstone of our democracy, has claimed that the Democrat Party and its members are in elbow-rubbing contact, even arm-in-arm, with terrorist organizations, forgetting his own past, simply because we supported a different candidate in the May 14 and May 28 elections. Our party has no contact or connection with terrorist organizations. Contrary to what the suspect wrote, our party is always against terrorism. We are going through difficult and sensitive days as a country in recent days. We have dozens of martyrs whose deaths we have learned of in the last month. While we should be in unity and solidarity against terrorism as a country, the suspect is engaging in contrary words and actions. With the explanations I have made above, the Democrat Party, of which I am a member, has never been a terror-lover or a supporter. Since its establishment in 1946, the Democrat Party has never engaged in any action against our country or in support of terrorism. The suspect has tried to declare my party and its members as terrorists in the eyes of our people with completely aggressive, targeting, and untrue statements. I know that the Turkish people will not give credence to the suspect's slanders, but with these statements, the suspect has tried to target my party.”
