Bahçeli speaks at group meeting: 'To the charlatans saying I use a body double and am dead...'

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli made assessments regarding the agenda at his party's group meeting held in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).

Here are the highlights from Bahçeli's statements:

"I condemn with hatred the disgusting attack on our Prophet Muhammad in a so-called humor magazine that publishes with a primitiveness that would not be outdone by its foreign counterparts, and I consider it important to prepare a political, strategic, and legal action plan against the infiltration of the Islamophobia threat into our country.

We watched with astonishment the blockheads, the disabled brains, and the poisonous tongues who claimed that I was speaking via artificial intelligence. We witnessed with amazement the charlatans who said, 'He is using a body double, he is already dead.' Thank God, our health is in good condition.

'WE HAVE A LOT OF WORK TO DO'

We have a lot of work to do, many goals to reach, many more friends to make happy, and many more enemies to make tremble; the nation is with us, and God is with us.

The postponement of the absolute nullity case has no value or agenda in our view. I am of the opinion that it would be for the benefit of democracy for the CHP to be in unity and solidarity within itself and to achieve internal peace and balance. The CHP is now a cartel party.

Forests are national wealth; forests are spiritual abundance. The burning of a tree or the destruction of a forest is essentially an assault on the existence of the country and the nation. Fires caused by negligence, carelessness, thoughtlessness, lack of precaution, recklessness, hooliganism, or sabotage have now exceeded the limits of tolerance.

The forest fires that broke out in different provinces and districts of our country last week have made it mandatory to take extraordinary measures. The fact that the question of 'Will our forests burn again?' constantly comes to our minds during the summer months, and then our fears coming true, has become a vicious cycle that has become routine and deeply wounds our nation.

It is clear that the opposition is suffering from a severe collapse in the context of political ethics and conscience. Nothing useful will come to our country or our nation from those who look like logs that are impossible to sprout and leaf out.

It is a vain hope for those who are at the center of suspicious relationships, under the yoke of uneasy whispers, and beneath clouds of doubt, to show a perfect political character and moral stance.

TOUCHED ON CORRUPTION OPERATIONS

The emergence of every crooked and illegitimate incident, from the flood of corruption surrounding municipalities to the shadows of party congresses, is first and foremost a great insult to our nation.

The fact that the Republican People's Party (CHP) is involved in lawsuits is the result of its increasingly heavy and diseased structure. The case concerning the 38th CHP congress and the postponement of this hearing to September 8, 2025, has no value or agenda in our view."

Reaching September 9 in unity and wholeness is a democratic opportunity for the Republican People's Party. If these sincere recommendations of ours are not realized, this party will erode Turkish politics.

The fact that the Chairman of the Republican People's Party speaks against Turkey in Europe is nothing but a concrete echo of a darkened and hardened consciousness of a dark style. What is this? This person was given a standing ovation at the German Social Democratic Party congress. Forget these fairy tales; tell these absurdities to someone else.

The step toward a Turkey without terrorism is the right step taken at the right time. There is no place for terrorism in the new century. Turkey has entered a new era; therefore, the PKK must be ensured to complete the process of laying down arms as soon as possible. Otherwise, the price of the consequences will be dire."
