Bahçeli targets Özgür Özel: 'Today's CHP is not Atatürk's party, it is a puppet of DEM'

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli spoke at the joint meeting of his party's Central Executive Board (MYK) and Central Disciplinary Board (MDK).

Here are the highlights from Bahçeli's speech:

"Our cause is the cause of the people, the cause of the righteous, the cause of truth, and naturally, the cause of God. Our path is long, our burden is heavy, yet our will and faith are like steel. Our ideal, which may seem like a dream without borders or an end, is a guiding line on the roadmap that every comrade of mine will follow in the process of serving our nation.

We will continue our struggle by renewing ourselves at every moment, yet approaching the waves of uncontrolled change and the chaotic landscape with caution and vigilance, knowing that the true dynamics of development lie in our national and spiritual sources. Our passion is the nation, our strength is the state. With God's permission, there is much work left to do and many goals to reach.

On the occasion of our final MYK and MDK meeting before our party's 14th Ordinary Grand Congress to be held on March 17, 2024, I convey my congratulations to every comrade for their work to date. For 55 years, we have been in love with the country, we have sworn an oath to the ideal. We have no doubt that with the same determination and resolve as the first day, our party will reach many more 55-year periods and many more centuries, even if we do not live to see them, through God's wisdom.

"TURKISH NATIONALISM MUST CONDUCT A STANCE ASSESSMENT"

Our ideal is to understand, develop, and keep alive forever—as long as humanity exists—the great Turkish nation and the magnificent collection of values it carries in language, heart, morality, faith, reason, and conscience, which give it distinction and value, as a sacred trust without severing it from its roots, and to work for the well-being of our national state, Turkishness, Islam, and humanity.

The shifting balance of power between civilizations, the influx of migration and refugees, the rise of rampant racism and xenophobia, conflict and war zones, and the global political arena, which is beginning to reshape itself along lines of faith and culture, make it urgent for Turkish nationalism to conduct a new assessment of its stance.

"GIVING LIFE TO NIGHTMARE SCENARIOS"

The continuation of the Russia-Ukraine war in our north and the suggestions made to give it a global character are sabotaging hopes for peace. Macron's mention of sending troops to Ukraine and the announcement by that country's defense minister that they will provide long-range missiles to Armenia are giving life to nightmare scenarios.

The flare-up of this debate following Hungary's approval of Sweden's NATO accession, and the Kremlin's emphasis on the inevitability of a conflict with NATO if Macron's words are reflected in action, are not security risks to be taken lightly. Russia fighting NATO means a problem at the level of survival for Turkey. It is in every country's interest to update the negotiation table established in Istanbul in 2022, silence the guns, and establish a climate of peace in our region.

"GENOCIDAL ISRAEL MUST BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE"

On the other hand, expectations for a permanent solution and peace, along with an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Palestine, must be put into action. The bloodshed must stop, and genocidal Israel must be held accountable. Turkey's oral statement submitted to the International Court of Justice has been a voice for the oppressed Palestinian people and has unmasked Israel once again.

"TURKEY'S STANCE IS CORRECT"

There is no other option that would invite a peaceful environment other than a two-state solution. The establishment of a Palestinian state with 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, and with its sovereignty and territorial integrity registered, is an inevitable necessity. The efforts of our President will not be in vain, and justice will surely be served. Turkey's attitude and stance are correct.

"THE CALLS OF OUR RETIREES ARE NOT UNJUSTIFIED"

The new century of the Republic is the first act of the Turkish and Turkey Century. In this century, Turkey will accelerate its rise. Social and economic problems and terrorism will be overcome. The high cost of living is not our destiny; it will end. The calls of our retirees are not unjustified; necessary improvements will be made generously. The fight against inflation will succeed.

Turkey is a predictable country. Turkey is a country that embraces its investors, respects private property, is committed to the rule of law, and has unquestionable democratic security. Turkey is the shining star and superpower of the future. No one should attempt a conspiracy that would cast doubt on our country.

"PRICE ANARCHISTS CONTROLLED BY FETÖ"

Whoever changes price tags in markets day by day and brings misery to our citizens' tables cannot be honest. As I have mentioned before, the price anarchists controlled by FETÖ must not be given any leeway. Inflation will fall, it will be brought down.

TARGETED CHP AGAIN

The opposition's race to smear Turkey is at the level of an incurable disease. The goal of this opposition is a dependent Turkey that is closed off and alienated from its surroundings. This opposition has become completely alienated from Turkey. It is useful for everyone to understand this point; no one will have the power to make Turkey a country of hungry free people and full captives.

The emergence of a result in the March 31, 2024 elections that aligns with the goals of the central government and is in harmony with the nature of the Presidential Government System will be the most important democratic success of the new century. Our primary goal and desire is for the municipalities under the management of the CHP, which loses its consciousness as it gets 'dem-ed' (infiltrated by DEM), to be recovered by the will of the nation. The CHP is unsuccessful in local government. The CHP is incompetent in local government. The CHP is bankrupt and disreputable in local government.

The Republican People's Party and DEM are side by side, and the others are in reserve. The bottom and top of the 'table of humiliation' have swapped places. We see the game. What they call 'city consensus' is the PKK alliance; it is a fifth-column activity against our country. The end has been seen for the person who caused a controversy over invitations in Istanbul and acts like the co-chair of his party.

The speech Özgür Bey made at the group meeting while hallucinating has worried us all regarding his mental health. He made a strange statement by saying, 'Atatürk expects you to make his party the government.' Today's CHP is not Atatürk's party; it is a puppet of DEM and a satellite of Turkey's enemies under the six arrows. What do you mean Atatürk spoke... My sincere advice to Özgür Bey, who speaks like this, is to pay attention to what he eats and drinks."
