Ahead of the NATO Leaders' Summit to be held in Ankara on July 7-8, a protest was staged in Istanbul against US President Donald Trump. The banner hung on the Haliç Bridge made reference to allegations that Trump's name appeared in the Jeffrey Epstein documents.

As part of the protest, a banner featuring the words "Hide your children, Trump is coming" in both Turkish and English was hung on the Haliç Bridge.

It was stated that the expressions used on the banner referred to allegations that Donald Trump's name appeared in files publicly known as the "Epstein documents."

REFERENCE MADE TO EPSTEIN FILES

It had been previously announced that as part of the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, which caused widespread public outcry, the US Department of Justice admitted that approximately 48,000 Epstein files, including allegations regarding US President Donald Trump, had been removed from the public system.

It was stated that the banner used in the protest made reference to these allegations.

US President Donald Trump is expected to attend the NATO Leaders' Summit to be held in Ankara on July 7-8.

Trump, who finalized his Turkey itinerary in line with the request of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, is planned to arrive in Ankara on July 7.

According to the shared schedule, Donald Trump is expected to first visit Anıtkabir during his Ankara visit, and then meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
