Bilal Erdoğan's friend Yahya Üstün becomes THY Communications President: Alleged salary of 1 million TL

Yahya Üstün, who served as the Press Consultant for Turkish Airlines (THY), has been appointed as the THY Communications President. This appointment took place following a decision by the THY Executive Committee to restructure the Press Consultancy unit into the "Communications Presidency." In his new role, Üstün will direct THY's corporate communication strategies and improve internal communication within the institution.

SCHOOLMATE OF BİLAL ERDOĞAN

Yahya Üstün is a schoolmate of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's son, Bilal Erdoğan, from Kartal Imam Hatip High School. Üstün had previously faced criticism from time to time regarding the attendance fees he received in his past roles. 

ALLEGED SALARY OF 1 MILLION LIRA

Following his new role at THY, it was alleged that Üstün's salary is 1 million lira. Ali Kıdık, the founder of Airporthaber, brought this salary to the agenda in a post on his social media account. Kıdık shared this development with the public by stating, "Thus, he became the first president, and his salary became at least one million. It is written in numbers like this: 1,000,000. You calculate how many minimum wages that equals."
