Breaking News... Critical decision from the YSK: Approval granted for the Extraordinary Provincial Congress

Following the trustee crisis at the Republican People's Party (CHP) Istanbul Provincial Presidency, all eyes had turned to the extraordinary congress. The Sarıyer 1st District Election Board had sought an opinion from the Supreme Election Council (YSK) due to uncertainty arising after a change of address.

In its assessment, the YSK announced that there is no obstacle to holding the congress.

SARIYER WILL OVERSEE ALL PROCEDURES

In its decision, the YSK stated that all preparations and processes regarding the Istanbul Extraordinary Provincial Congress, planned for September 24, will be conducted by the Sarıyer 1st District Election Board. Thus, there are no remaining official obstacles for the congress that will determine the fate of the CHP Istanbul organization.

OFFICIAL APPLICATION FROM CHP

Following the decision by the Istanbul 45th Civil Court of First Instance on September 2 to remove the provincial administration from office, delegates had taken action for an extraordinary congress. In line with the decision taken through the signatures of the delegates, an official application was made to the Sarıyer 1st District Election Board for the congress to be held on Wednesday, September 24.
