BREAKING NEWS... DEM delegation to visit MHP and AKP on the same day! Will Bahçeli be present at the meeting?

The DEM Party delegation will meet with the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) on March 17, following the call for disarmament made by terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan on February 27. The time and location of the meeting have not yet been announced. The DEM delegation will also hold a meeting with the New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi) on March 15 at 11:00 AM.

PKK ringleader Abdullah Öcalan called on the organization on February 27 to "lay down your arms and disband yourselves." Following this call, the terrorist organization PKK declared a ceasefire two days later. This call by Öcalan is considered an important turning point in Turkey's counter-terrorism process.

CONGRATULATORY CALL FROM BAHÇELİ

Tuncer Bakırhan, Co-Chair of the DEM Party, stated that he was called by MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli immediately after Öcalan's call. Expressing that Bahçeli said, "Be at ease, we will democratize this country together," Bakırhan said he received a message of support stating, "I am ready to do whatever is necessary for democracy."

Furthermore, DEM Party Co-Chair Bakırhan called MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli by phone following his recent heart surgery to convey his get-well wishes. Bakırhan inquired about Bahçeli's health status and said, "Turkey needs you for peace and brotherhood efforts."

Following Abdullah Öcalan's call for disarmament, March 17 was set for the first face-to-face meeting between the DEM Party delegation and the MHP delegation.
