BREAKING NEWS... DEM Party applies for 3rd Imralı visit: 'We want it to be via video call'

A new 'opening' process has begun following MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli's call regarding Öcalan.

MHP Chairman Bahçeli, in his statement at his party's group meeting, had said regarding PKK terrorist organization leader Öcalan: "Let him come out and speak at the DEM Party group meeting. Let him declare that the PKK has been dissolved. As a result of this, let him benefit from the right to hope."

Support messages for this call from Bahçeli had come from the government and the DEM Party.

Within the scope of the new 'opening process' being carried out, a DEM Party delegation had previously conducted visits to Imralı and Northern Iraq.

APPLICATION FROM DEM PARTY

Following the meetings held, the DEM Party has made an official application to the Ministry of Justice for a 3rd visit to Imralı.

"WE HOPE IT WILL BE VIA VIDEO CALL"

DEM Party spokesperson and Şırnak MP Ayşegül Doğan stated in her announcement: "As of today, an application has been made for the third visit to Imralı. We hope that Öcalan's statement will be via video call."
