Breaking News... Erdoğan's first group meeting following crisis rumors on the AKP-MHP front: He showered Bahçeli with praise!

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the AKP group meeting.

President Erdoğan's statements are as follows:

"From here, through you, I send my greetings and love to all our brothers and sisters in our country and abroad who have turned their eyes and hearts toward us, and to all our citizens whose hearts beat with ours.

Turkmen, Arab, Kurd, Sunni, Shia; our brothers and sisters already know this very well. Far from objecting to the deployment of the Mehmetçik (Turkish soldiers) on their own lands, they are actually pleased by it. Dear friends, while this is the case, we have seen that the CHP, which claims to be the party that founded the Republic, opposed the motion. The Grand National Assembly of Turkey is conducting a vote that concerns the security of the country and the nation very closely. But you see, the country's main opposition party opposes this with nonsensical arguments, hiding behind a bunch of excuses that even they do not believe in.

And unfortunately, they are in an attitude far from displaying a domestic and national stance on issues related to foreign policy. They are very good at giving speeches full of bravado in the squares. However, when it comes to keeping their word and standing behind what they say, they suddenly change direction and take a step back, performing a U-turn before the eyes of our nation.

'IF ÖZEL CONTINUES LIKE THIS, THE CHP WILL OVERHEAT'

Mr. Özel, if he continues to engage in politics like this, my concern is that the CHP will either overheat, break an axle, or blow its transmission. The signals of this are already visible. The Chairman is making himself look more ridiculous every day with his gaffes and blunders. Yesterday, he came out again and made disproportionate and baseless statements. Both our Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and our regional deputies will give the necessary response to his delusions regarding the earthquake zone.

They used to find their way to the region, even if like tourists, but now they cannot even do that. They have no idea about the infrastructure and superstructure works being carried out, the completed residences, or how far our earthquake-stricken region has come. Just as they are only now getting acquainted with the high-speed train that has been in service for sixteen years, perhaps in ten years they will realize what we have done in our earthquake zones.

We can never tie the security of our region to the policies of the CHP, which do not inspire confidence. Because for us, what is essential is Turkey. It is the salvation of Turkey. It is for our eighty-six million people to be able to lay their heads on their pillows in peace every night.

THANKS TO DEVLET BAHÇELİ

As a result of the courageous and visionary contributions of our People's Alliance partner, Nationalist Movement Party Chairman Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, the intensive efforts of our party to embrace every segment of society, and the extraordinary efforts of all institutions of our state, thank God, we are walking with confident steps toward the goal of a terror-free Turkey.

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, who, with his historic assessments at the group meeting, exposed all the games of the corrupt and bankrupt mentality, especially the FETÖ scoundrels, and not only that, but also left their dirty ambitions unfulfilled.

REGARDING THE MEETING WITH THE İMRALI DELEGATION

We held an extremely constructive meeting by hosting Deputy Speaker of Parliament and DEM Party Van Deputy Ms. Pervin Buldan and DEM Party Şanlıurfa Deputy Mr. Mithat Sancar at our Presidential Complex. We once again confirmed and observed that we share similar concerns and a common sense of responsibility regarding the progress of the process with great sensitivity.

It is now clearly seen that we have reached a new junction on the path to the goal of a terror-free Turkey and a terror-free region. In this process, everyone needs to take responsibility, support the process sincerely, and focus on providing the highest contribution they can.

As the People's Alliance, we have done what was required of us until today; we will continue to do so with the same determination from now on.

My dear young friends, I want to underline these two points especially for you. First, I claim with certainty that every election we have entered since November 3 and thereafter has been by far the cleanest election in the world in terms of transparency, reliability, and participation.

In every election we have entered, the national will has been fully reflected in the ballot box, and the nation has chosen the AK Party with its own free will in every election. They say, 'Oh, there is no such thing.' It's a one-man regime. It's a dictatorship. It's authoritarianism. These are all fallacies.

These baseless accusations are slanders used by our opponents and adversaries to cover up their own failures and incompetence. What did we say in every election we entered? 'Bring it on.' In every election we entered, we spoke with what we did, but mostly with what we will do. We set a horizon. We set a goal. We set a vision. In every election we entered, our nation chose us with its free will. Thank God, it continues to choose us. My dear young people, the second important point is this. This nation is with you in the transition to a multi-party system.

My brothers, do not forget the government of the late Menderes, which was established in 1950, when we transitioned to a multi-party system. It was the 19th government. Do not forget that the government we established on November 18, 2002, was the 58th government.

There are 52 years in between. In 52 years, 39 governments were formed in Turkey. Do you know what this means? This means that in those 52 years, the government in Turkey changed on average every 16 months.

A Prime Minister comes to office with his cabinet and team. On average, he hands over his duty after 16 months. There is no stability in the country. Every 16 months, the government hands over its place to someone else before even understanding what is happening.

Between 1950 and 2002, Turkey went through very severe crises during those 52 years. It paid very heavy prices. You cannot invest in such an unstable environment.

In such an environment, you cannot produce solutions to the country's problems. You cannot manage the economy. You cannot be active in foreign policy. You cannot ensure peace, security, and public order. In an environment where the lifespan of governments is on average 16 months, you cannot build roads, you cannot open schools, you cannot build hospitals, you cannot produce housing, you cannot even dream of a tank, a cannon, a missile, an airplane, or a national warship.

Moreover, do not forget that Turkey was subjected to four coups during this 52-year process. Look, while Germany, which was in ruins everywhere in 1945, was recovering, while Japan, on which two atomic bombs were dropped, was standing up, while France and Italy were healing the wounds of the war, Turkey unfortunately marked time for 52 years.

Now they tell us, 'Of course you will do it. This is your duty,' they say. Of course, it is our duty. Of course, we will do it. Of course, we will work for this nation. But please, you should also question this. Why were the things that needed to be done in this country not done before, except for the periods of the late Menderes and the late Özal? Why didn't they build the roads Turkey needed? Why didn't they open the schools? Why didn't they build the hospitals? Why did bridges, airports, housing, universities, and many others remain insufficient? There were 26 airports when we came, we increased that to 56 airports. We did. From where to where? Why couldn't this nation see the service, work, and investment it deserved for years? The 102-year-old Republican People's Party was in government sometimes without elections, sometimes by coup, and sometimes as a coalition partner. When it was not in power, its ideas were in power. I wonder if they have a single stone laid in this country? No. Is there? No.

"THE AK PARTY COMING TO POWER ALONE IS A PEOPLE'S REVOLUTION"

My dear young people, ask your elders. Watch the documentaries. Open the archives and read the newspapers of that period. You will see nothing but anarchy, terror, unrest, uncertainty, pessimism, and hopelessness. Why, there were 80 students in the classroom where I studied in middle school in Istanbul.

18-20 students were staying in the same ward in university dormitories. The ordeal of the hospital, the ordeal of the government office, the ordeal of the school, the ordeal of the road; we all experienced these. Children were born in suffering, they grew up in suffering.

They were dying in suffering. The fact that the AK Party could reach a 36 percent vote rate in the November 3 elections, despite having been founded only 15 months earlier, is essentially a manifestation of a rebellion, an objection, a cry, and a demand for great change.

Young people, do not forget this. The AK Party coming to power alone was frankly a people's revolution. For 23 years, we have remained loyally committed to the November 3 revolution. If we win every election for 23 years, it is a result of our loyalty to these November 3 election results.

Is it enough? Of course not. We still have a lot of work to do. But do not forget this, my dear friends. For 23 years, while trying to produce service and work for the country on one hand, we also withstood attacks from inside and outside. This is not an excuse. We, so to speak, both stoned the devil and performed our circumambulation.
