Following the conclusion of the 2026 budget negotiations at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) General Assembly, a fistfight broke out between CHP and AKP deputies. The Speaker of the Parliament suspended the session due to the commotion.
Following the approval of the 2026 Central Government Budget Law Proposal with 320 votes against 249, tense moments occurred in the TBMM General Assembly. During the proceedings, a major fight broke out between CHP and AKP deputies.
COMMOTION BETWEEN GROUPS IN PARLIAMENT
The fight turned into a violent argument between the two groups after the negotiations were completed. As punches and insults were exchanged and the atmosphere became increasingly tense, the Speaker of the Parliament decided to suspend the session.
