Breaking News: Müsavat Dervişoğlu's statement on the Kobani Case! 'They don't like to be reminded, but...'

IYI Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu made statements regarding the agenda at his party's group meeting.

Dervişoğlu began his speech by wishing mercy upon Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his accompanying delegation, who lost their lives in a helicopter crash.

Referring to the Ayhan Bora Kaplan investigation, Dervişoğlu stated, "Who can console themselves against the injustice done to them by saying with confidence and faith that there are judges in Ankara? Which one of us can go to those places with peace of mind, sure of what we have or have not done, when called by the police station? The Ankara organized crime director wants to go to the prosecutor's office to give a statement. A detention warrant is issued for the prosecutor who comes to give a statement. He does not trust the police and has the Gendarmerie take him. The Gendarmerie takes him and brings him to the intelligence agency. The deputy provincial police chief and those with him are arrested. Even if nothing is happening, it is clear that something is going on".

Touching upon the Kobani Case, Dervişoğlu said, "They met at Dolmabahçe on February 28, 2015, 4 months after October 6-7-8, and subsequently read a peace declaration. In other words, the defendants and the political representatives of the government first sat down to reach a consensus and then fell out. We are waiting for the court's reasoned decision. We will also evaluate the sentences given to those who want to turn our country into a fire. But we will never forget those who bargained with them at Dolmabahçe".

We are by no means among the oblivious appointees who have become alienated from the values of these lands. What needs to be repeated and remembered here today, 105 years later, is Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's ideal of establishing an unconditionally independent Turkish state based on national sovereignty to solve all problems. As a matter of fact, our insistence on the parliamentary system is Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's insistence. Our persistence in the national state is again Mustafa Kemal's persistence. That is why we say 'national sovereignty', we say 'national Assembly', we say 'national state'!

"THE GOVERNMENT IS FIGHTING ITS OWN TAIL LIKE A SNAKE"

The government is fighting its own tail like a snake trying to eat itself. Like a madman who forgets his own past, it calls the image it sees in the mirror a terrorist, and calls the photos it sees in the album a coup plotter, a FETO member. It conducts operations on the nation by taking refuge in the delusion of tutelage.

It was that same judiciary that pleased the powerful and victimized the nation during the February 28 oppression, and enriched those who mercilessly profited from that justified grievance. It was the same judiciary that made investments for the powerful in the 'my FETO member, your FETO member' stock market of those who supposedly fight against FETO. It was the same judiciary that wrote a promissory note instead of an indictment with the blood of Sinan Ateş in the one-man system, and endorsed that note. They had prepared a release document, not an indictment.

The only reason why millions of our retired citizens receive a pension below the minimum wage today is the regulations made by the AKP government in 2008. They reduced the update coefficient from 100 percent to 30 percent. They reduced the monthly accrual rate from 75 percent to 50 percent. The result is that while the lowest pension was half as much as the minimum wage in January 2003, today the lowest pension is below the minimum wage. If you are going to solve the problems of our retired citizens even a little bit, instead of nonsensical promises, bring the lowest pension back to its state 21 years ago and raise it above the minimum wage.

If the bureaucracy and judiciary in Turkey today have become a playground for sects that have structured and politicized within the state, and have turned into an area of dominance and settling scores for criminal organizations, there is only one person responsible for this, and that is the incompetent Justice and Development Party government and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

For those who shout for reform in the judiciary, one way to help your security units is to review the execution regulations. It is not to release murderers, criminals, the deranged, and the un-rehabilitated onto the streets."
