The "absolute nullity" ruling issued by the Ankara Regional Court of Justice 36th Civil Chamber regarding the Republican People's Party (CHP) convention has led to tense hours in politics. In line with the court's decision, the CHP administration was temporarily removed from office, bringing to the agenda the possibility of the return of long-time party leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and his team to the management.
In its first statement following the court's reasoned decision, the CHP stated, "We do not recognize the decision," and immediately convened the Central Executive Board in an extraordinary session. During this process, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu shared his first assessment of the developments with the message, "Best of luck."
With the latest developments, all eyes in the CHP have turned once again to Chairman Özgür Özel. While Özel decided to convene the party's Central Executive Board again today, the current situation and the court's decision are expected to be evaluated.
