Breaking News... President Erdoğan calls CHP an 'organized crime syndicate': Sets date for early elections

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements regarding the agenda at his party's group meeting. Erdoğan began the group meeting by offering his condolences to the families of the 12 soldiers who were martyred due to methane gas poisoning.

Highlights from Erdoğan's speech are as follows:

We are holding our group meeting in the deep sorrow of our 12 heroic soldiers who were martyred. Unfortunately, 12 of our 19 heroic soldiers who were exposed to high levels of methane gas during search and scan activities were martyred. I pray for infinite mercy for our martyrs. The Holy Quran gives us the good news that our martyrs do not die, they live, and they are provided for in the presence of Allah. They have attained the highest of ranks after the rank of prophethood. I commemorate our martyred soldiers with mercy and gratitude. These heroes have many memories and many stories to be taken as examples. I wish a speedy recovery to our soldiers whose treatments are ongoing and I kiss each of them on their eyes. This homeland is a trust left to us by our martyrs.

TOUCHED UPON CONTACTS WITH DEM PARTY

By achieving the goal of a Turkey without terrorism and then a region without terrorism, we will show everyone, friend and foe alike, that their efforts were not in vain. Guided by the value of our martyrs, we are saving Turkey from a half-century-old scourge. Everything will be much different after the wall of terror is demolished.

We hosted Mr. Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar at our Presidential Complex. We held a constructive and sincere meeting. We are entering a phase where positive news will be received in the coming days. We hope that the process of a Turkey without terrorism will conclude successfully without experiencing any road accidents and without giving an opportunity for dirty circles to sabotage it.

As alliance partners, just as we have acted in complete solidarity from the very first day, we will continue to walk together from now on. I would like to touch upon two issues that have occupied the country's agenda since our last group meeting. 3,282 fires, 1,387 of which were in forested areas and 1,895 in non-forested areas, have affected our cities this year. One-fourth of the fires that have occurred since the beginning of the year took place in the last 13 days. We fought a relentless struggle against 20 major fires.

We signed the Paris Climate Agreement in 2021. Our Climate Law, which is a continuation of it, was also accepted and entered into force by being published in the Official Gazette. We have clarified the duties and responsibilities of our Presidency. Denigrating the law with nonsense such as 'agriculture will be banned' and 'farmers will not be able to plant' is an example of unconsciousness.

THE PEOPLE'S PARTY HAS BECOME THE EXTORTION PARTY

The roots of the CHP's intolerance date back to May 14, 1950. Do not be fooled by the fact that they never let words like 'rights' and 'justice' fall from their lips. What they understand is to usurp power through the conspiracies of internal and external forces. As the AK Party, we have faced off with the CHP at the ballot box exactly 18 times since November 2002. We are no strangers to them; we know them well. We also carried out this race under the roofs of alliances. In all of the elections, the AK Party and the People's Alliance defeated the CHP again and again. They brought the entire opposition together by calling it the 'Table of 6'. They were defeated again. We buried not only 'Mr. Kemal' but everyone around him at the ballot box. We also defeated the door-knob-kissers who were trying to be charming to Mr. Kemal without winning an election. There is no consistency in their speeches. As the People's Alliance, we have not only gained 5 years for our country, each worth its weight in gold, but we have also saved the future of our nation. There is a person at the head of this party. The individual who cannot fill the seat he sits in is shouting with the mouth of a tavern-goer. In the next podium, he lines up the opposite nonsense of what he said before. There is no logic in his speeches. He is of no use to the country, but at least he entertains the nation. Behind this vulgarity, there is another shameful picture. The judiciary has opened an investigation into the biggest theft gang in history. Those who complain, those who are complained about, and those who take bribes are all CHP members. The arms of the octopus in different provinces and districts have begun to be exposed. You have seen what has been reflected in newspapers and televisions. Those who seek their rights in court in the cooperative scandal, which they call their 'vision project that will compete with TOKİ', also consist of CHP members. The scandal breaks out because they stole from the iron while it was under construction. The cooperative in question is a project that the CHP holds up as an example. The People's Party has become the Extortion Party.

ERDOĞAN TO ÖZEL: YOU WILL BE DISGRACED

All the judiciary is doing is fulfilling the requirements of the complaints that come before it. There is a legal process here, not a political one. We are not on any side of this process. The CHP is shamelessly trying to blame us even for an incident where they were caught red-handed while taking bribes. When there was a detention, they immediately called it a political operation. Now their chairman has come out and said 'I am shocked'. If you continue with this mindset, you will be shocked even more, and in the end, you will be disgraced. They have also polluted baklava, one of the most famous brands of our country.

"YOU WILL ACCOUNT TO THE JUDICIARY"

The latest victim of the CHP mentality has been baklava. The CHP may be tolerant of thieves and corrupt people just because they are from their own party, but no institution of the state does so. CHP members have practically put cities under extortion. Whether it is in a suitcase or a baklava box, if you have taken a bribe, if you have taken the people's money by the handful, you will account to the judiciary.

Let us comfort them by saying it metaphorically; they have perished. We continue our struggle with the support of our nation. They tried every way from conspiracies to coups to stop us. Despite the unlimited international support they received, they failed.

"PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION IN 2028, LOCAL ELECTIONS IN 2029"

Our stance has always been like this in the face of injustices and vile attacks targeting the national will. We have patiently carried out our struggle without deviating from legitimacy within the democratic system. We see the same mind in the noise they have made recently. We have witnessed that they can stoop so low as to ask Western countries, 'Why don't you intervene in Turkey?' For a while, they have been harping on about the ballot box. Since the Constitution and the election law have not changed, the election will be held in 2028 and the local administration election in 2029, Mr. Özgür.
