DEM PARTY DELEGATION TO VISIT DEMİRTAŞ IN EDİRNE

In a statement made by the DEM Party, it was reported that Co-Chair Tülay Hatimoğulları and Istanbul MP Cengiz Çiçek will meet with Selahattin Demirtaş at Edirne Prison tomorrow.

Party officials announced that they will hold a press statement in front of the prison at 14:00 following the meeting.

According to the statement, DEM Party MP Meral Danış Beştaş will visit former HDP Co-Chair Figen Yüksekdağ at Kandıra Prison. Beştaş will hold a press statement at 15:00 following the visit.

EXPECTATION OF RELEASE FOLLOWING ECHR RULING

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) had rejected Turkey's appeal against its second violation and release ruling regarding Selahattin Demirtaş's imprisonment. Upon the finalization of the ruling, Demirtaş's lawyers filed an application for release to the Ankara Regional Court of Justice.
