'Brotherhood despite everything' call: Erdoğan recalls Turkish-Kurdish-Arab unity

AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan made statements at the Organization Academy Leadership School at the AKP Congress Center.

Highlights from Erdoğan's statements are as follows:

"We know where we are going. This is our biggest difference from the opposition. Our cause is great. Turks, Kurds, and Arabs have existed together, fought together, and experienced both victory and defeat together. Geography and history have bound Kurds, Turks, and Arabs together in an inseparable way. Manzikert is the common victory of Kurds, Turks, and Arabs. Chaldiran is the common victory of Kurds, Turks, and Arabs. When we formed an alliance in this geography, we grew stronger and ruled the world. However, we all experienced an interregnum together. We weakened when we fell out with each other; foreign powers know this very well. They resort to every means to make us fall out with each other.

Unfortunately, they were successful in the traps they set from time to time. Despite all the pain experienced, there were those who fell into the traps and played into the hands of those who wanted to separate us from each other. Even today, we see those whose eyes are clouded with hatred. They try every way to prevent our unity and solidarity. We will not fall into this trap. If you separate the Turk from the Kurd, if you separate them from the Arab, they remain alone and weak. No matter what others do, we will defend brotherhood despite everything.

'WE ARE CAUTIOUS AND OPTIMISTIC'

The separatist terrorist organization recently announced that it would dissolve itself. We welcomed this positively in order to get rid of the scourge that has plagued our nation for 40 years. This process will be meticulously examined by our MIT and security organizations. We approach those who abandon terrorism and violence with gentleness. We are in very close coordination with the People's Alliance. We are cautious, patient, optimistic, and hopeful.

'WE ARE IN ALMOST THE SAME PLACE WE WERE 22 YEARS AGO'

Let no one have any anxiety or doubt. The Republic of Turkey is in control of its agenda. We are in the same place today as we have been for 22 years. Today, we are much stronger in every respect. We have had no tolerance for terrorist organizations on our borders, neither in Iraq nor in Syria, and we will not have any from now on. The duration of terrorism in our region has ended. The era of relying on foreign actors has closed. Our world is changing its shell, and the old order is cracking. Turkey is rapidly reaching the place it deserves in the new era as a polar star. Turkey's path is brightening. We are building our greatest work with a Turkey without terrorism.

Once we leave the issue of terrorism behind, Turkey will be a completely different Turkey. Then peace will increase, brotherhood will strengthen, and democracy will be reinforced. We will tear off and cast away a shackle that has been on Turkey's feet for half a century, and then we will walk to our destination faster.
