Call for justice in Saraçhane! Gathering on the 100th day of İmamoğlu's detention

Attending the Earthquake and Disaster Workshop organized by the CHP Istanbul Provincial Presidency's Earthquake and Disaster Commission, CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik made statements regarding the gathering to be held in Saraçhane on July 1st, marking the 100th day of the operations against CHP's presidential candidate and IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and his colleagues.

Stating that they have been waging a great struggle for freedom and democracy for 240 days, Çelik said, "In the process that began in Esenyurt and continued with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and district municipalities, our presidential candidate, our metropolitan mayor Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu, and many of our colleagues were detained and arrested. While we have been fighting for justice, freedom, and democracy for 240 days, we continue to talk about the real problems of Istanbul and Turkey and seek solutions to those problems."

TIME HAS BEEN SET

According to the report in Anka, Çelik said the following:

"Tuesday marks the hundredth day of the detention of our President Ekrem and our colleagues. Under the leadership of our Chairman Mr. Özgür Özel, we will be in Saraçhane on Tuesday at 20:30. If you recall, when the coup attempt took place on March 19, we repelled that coup attempt all together with tens of thousands in Saraçhane on the first day, hundreds of thousands on the second day, and over a million people at the end of a week.

Now, on the hundredth day of the detention of our President Ekrem, our mayors, and our colleagues, we invite all Istanbul residents to stand up for justice, democracy, freedom, and our mayors."
