Call for the 'Yozgat' rally from Ekrem İmamoğlu: 'Do not forget; we will succeed as a nation'

The Republican People's Party (CHP) continues to hold rallies to voice demands for the release of the imprisoned Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, as well as for early elections. In this context, a rally will be held in Yozgat on Saturday, April 19, at 14.00.

Ekrem İmamoğlu, in a statement made from Silivri Prison, called for participation in the rally in Yozgat. İmamoğlu stated, 'I will watch the gathering from prison; think of me as being right beside you, know that we are shoulder to shoulder.'

In a post shared on his social media account, İmamoğlu said, 'The nation is claiming its will. Greetings to my fellow citizens in Yozgat who were among the first to react to the March 19 Civil Coup. Greetings to the young people walking from Kayseri to Yozgat. Our Chairman, Mr. Özgür Özel, is meeting with you on Saturday. I invite all my fellow citizens in Yozgat and neighboring provinces to Cumhuriyet Square at 14.00 to demand early elections against this government that ignores the nation, ruins the economy, shakes trust in justice, destroys agriculture and production, and crushes the farmer. I will watch the gathering from prison; think of me as being right beside you, know that we are shoulder to shoulder. Do not forget; we will succeed as a nation.'
