Can Holding investigation reaches the Palace: Alleged to have testified over bribery claims

A striking claim has been made regarding Prof. Dr. Göksel Aşan, one of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's chief advisors who recently left his post. Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı, a figure close to the government, alleged that Aşan testified as a suspect on the grounds that he received bribes from Can Holding.

In his statement on En Son Haber, Kütahyalı said, "Göksel Aşan testified as a suspect in the Can Holding investigation. This situation refutes claims that 'names close to the government are being favored.' The investigation is ongoing and the file has not been closed." Kütahyalı also shared these statements on his social media account, noting that Aşan testified within the scope of the investigation over allegations that he received a regular salary.

AŞAN'S RESIGNATION STATEMENT

On November 19, Göksel Aşan announced on social media that he had requested to be relieved of his duties as Chief Advisor to the President due to personal reasons. Aşan had stated, "I am grateful for the opportunity to serve my country under the leadership of our President. I will continue to serve as long as my health permits."
