Candidacy decision from Tunç Soyer! 'I am saying it very clearly…'

İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer was a guest on Fox TV.

Making statements regarding the national and İzmir agenda, Soyer announced that he will be a candidate for the local elections on March 31, 2024.

"I AM CLEARLY A CANDIDATE"

"I am clearly a candidate," said Soyer, adding, "Over the past 5 years, we have organized the kitchen, and now we want to serve the meal in the dining room; we have reached that point. We have completed all our preparations. I am sure that the people of İzmir know how valuable the investments they know are underground, even if they cannot see them."

"THE PEOPLE OF İZMİR VOTE FOR SECULARISM AND DEMOCRACY"

Soyer continued his words as follows;

"The people of İzmir do not just vote for a political party or just for service performance; they also vote for democracy, secularism, freedom, and independence. For this reason, we compete with ourselves, asking, 'How can we do better?' That is why we strive to expand İzmir's place in the world. The relationships we have established in Europe are also aimed at this goal. Hopefully, next week on the 27th, we will be declared the European Youth Capital. 2026 will be the year we bring our youth together with the youth of Europe. You will see that we will once again carry İzmir forward as the locomotive of Anatolia and Turkey, and as the herald of innovations and enlightenment in Anatolia."
