CHP announces postponement of Party Assembly and candidate announcements
The Party Assembly (PM) meeting and candidate announcements expected to take place this week in the CHP have been postponed due to the martyrdom of 12 soldiers in the Pençe-Kilit operation.
The Republican People's Party (CHP) MYK meeting held today has concluded. Party sources reported that the sole agenda item of the meeting was the events in the Pençe-Kilit Operation. During the meeting, the party's stance on not signing the joint declaration following the loss of 12 soldiers was discussed.
CHP MYK members reached a consensus that the declaration issued by the party was more effective than the one signed jointly.
CANDIDATE ANNOUNCEMENT POSTPONED
According to information received from party sources, the CHP, which instructed its municipalities to postpone events such as concerts and festivals for three days due to the loss of 12 soldiers, will also postpone the Party Assembly planned for this week. In this context, the launch where Istanbul candidates were planned to be announced will also be pushed to a later date. CHP provincial and district organizations will express their reaction by making a joint statement on Wednesday regarding the soldiers' deaths.
