CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's early election call to Erdoğan: 'If he cannot go to the streets, he will go to the ballot box'

Following the parliamentary group meetings of the MHP and DEM Party, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel spoke at his party's group meeting.

Highlights from Özel's remarks are as follows:

Today, we woke up to news of a landslide. I wish a speedy recovery to our Rize. I pray for God's mercy upon our citizens who lost their lives.

You remember that in recent months, there was talk of culling in the animal rights law. Against this, this group put up a magnificent resistance and removed the culling provision.

Subsequently, we fought a great battle in the struggle for women's surnames, and this law was also made appropriate.

They said a war would break out between Israel and Turkey. To those who said it would, let's see about the defense industry fund. In times of scarcity, they collected money from the nation, and this group put up a great resistance in parliament, and this law was withdrawn.

The AKP wrote an influence agent law, and everyone is an agent. We said, friends, we are sounding a red alert. We said this law must not pass. This group fought last week, and the law was withdrawn.

They took Ahmet Özer in a dawn operation. They detained Mr. Ahmet in his bed. They gathered nonsensical, fake evidence. We objected. We all canceled our camp together. We gathered our group in Esenyurt for 4-5 days.

They wrote a petition to object to the detention. A 40-page petition with a world of attachments. People who wouldn't get a 40 on a law exam rejected this in 40 minutes.

There is still no indictment for Ahmet Özer. Because there is no evidence.

The person who will manage Esenyurt must be chosen from the group. The fact that the person appointed by Tayyip Erdoğan manages Esenyurt is a sign of exhaustion and defeat for Erdoğan. You will get the answer to this petulance and greed from Esenyurt.

I HAVE BAD NEWS FOR AKP AND MHP

I have bad news for the AK Party and MHP. One in two people voted for Ahmet Özer. No one in Esenyurt believes this. 80 percent of Esenyurt does not believe this. 4 out of 5 people believe that a wrong is being done. Let's put the ballot box out and ask the people. If 80 percent are not behind Ahmet Özer, then we know nothing. We can finally submit a parliamentary question regarding the disrespect shown to the municipal elections. We will not leave Esenyurt alone; we will continue our vigil. Every other day, we will hold a vigil in one of Turkey's cities with all our executives. While this is happening every other day, on the other days, we will begin to host all the deputies of political parties who called and asked to show solidarity, as well as all the artists who support us, in our Esenyurt Municipality hall. The issue is for those at the head of the state to know how to respect those elected by the nation.

"I THANK OUR POLICE AND DEPUTIES"

NEWBORN GANG SCANDAL

HARSH REACTION TO YUSUF TEKİN

The minister of this country is attacking secularism through the first 4 articles of the Constitution. In the 22-year politics of polarization, he resolves everything that is fabricated in one sentence. If it weren't for those who made that constitution, led by Gazi Mustafa Kemal, who founded this country, those calls to prayer would not be recited in those mosques.

We are facing a minister who lets sects manage National Education. You are a minister whose 25 percent of students go to school hungry, with at least one of them carrying a knife, who cannot afford a glass of ayran, who forgot the promise of distributing food, and whose schools are filthy.

THE LIEUTENANTS' SWORD OATH

WE WILL MAKE THE LIEUTENANTS HOLD A SWORD CEREMONY

MINIMUM WAGE AND PENSION RAISE

The minimum wage should be 30 thousand liras. Small tradesmen and SMEs must be protected. Friends who are experts in tax and social security legislation should organize their work. A minimum wage is essential for retirees. The lowest pension should be raised to the minimum wage.

EARLY ELECTION CALL

CHP leader Özgür Özel also reiterated his call for an early election by addressing President Erdoğan.

Özel said, "My final word; if he has the heart, I would like to take Erdoğan to the marketplace. Let him listen to the troubles of the people there. If Tayyip Bey cannot go to the market, he will go to the ballot box, he will go to an early election. The ballot box is there, we want an early election."
