'CHP Communication' account name changed

Active moments were experienced at the Republican People's Party (CHP) headquarters in the morning hours. Following a tense atmosphere at the Party Headquarters, riot police teams forcibly opened the locks and chains at the parking lot entrance and evacuated the building. Tear gas was also used against party members during this intervention. It was learned that members of the press who witnessed the incident were removed from the building and that the electricity at the Headquarters was cut off.

In a statement made following these developments, Chairman Özgür Özel said: "We have left that building, we have left it to those 'interested,' from now on our headquarters is in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM)! Until the party is saved from occupation, our current headquarters is our CHP Group!"

Following these events, the party's official communication account underwent a significant change. The social media account known as "CHP Communication" will operate under the name "Özgür Özel Communication" in the new period. The announcement made from the account included the following statements:

"Dear fellow travelers, our 'CHP Communication' account is now continuing its journey under the name 'Özgür Özel Communication.' Let us all follow it together to make our voice heard more strongly and to grow our solidarity, and let us share it with those around us.

We are stronger together."

According to information obtained from party sources, it is stated that this change was made to strengthen communication within the party and to adopt strategies suitable for the new period.
