CHP decides to gather in Saraçhane on May 1st
Following the AKP's refusal to allow May 1st Labor Day celebrations in Taksim, reactions from the CHP continue. The CHP has finally announced its decision to gather in Saraçhane.
The CHP responded to Interior Minister Yerlikaya's announcement that May 1st celebrations would not be permitted in Taksim by stating, "We are not giving up."
Stating that it is the workers' right to celebrate May 1st in Taksim, the CHP leadership decided to gather in Saraçhane at 10:00 AM on May 1st.
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel will also attend the gathering that will take place in Saraçhane.
'TAKSİM' CALL FROM PROVINCIAL CHAIR ÇELİK
CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik also issued a call for Taksim for May 1st.
In a post on social media, Çelik stated, "To Taksim on May 1st! We are marching to Taksim all together to defend labor, justice, and a system free from exploitation. Wednesday, May 1st. Gathering area: Saraçhane Time: 10.00"
